History:
Riho was born into the vampire civilization through her parents. Although they weren't the top of the vampires, they held high positions and carried on the blood of one of the first vampires. Originally, Riho had about thirty brothers and sisters...after all, vampire are immortal. However, each went their own way as time passed. What became of them is still unknown. There are always chances of encounters, but vampires tend to never rest in a single place for more than a century...
Regardless, the siblings twindled down to just Riho, the youngest, and her brother, the oldest, remaining with their parents. Of course, the brother was only their to learn the ways of the high society and leading vampires and policing them... too many vampires in a single place was never good... nor was it good to let a rogue run free doing as he/she pleases...
Riho stayed, however, just to be with her parents that she hadn't yet separated from and who still dotted and adored on her. She remained with them for perhaps a few hundreds of years, learning along with her brother (although at a much slower pace) how things were run, how the meetings were carried out. She never partook in any of the ongoings, but she was always informed and always up to date and speed. On occasions she made suggestions to her parents and brother, but never to anyone else. To her...the others couldn't be trusted.
In the end, she turned out to be right to an extent. There was a traitor in their midsts. Riho was one of the first few to learn of it, but could do nothing in time to prevent the slaughter of some of the high families. Few escaped. Most perished; Riho's mother and father among them. Her brother vanished when the traitors did...whether he was a part of the group or just hunting them down still remains to be unseen... regardless, it left Riho alone and abandoned.
For the following two thousand years, Riho hunted out her parents' murderers, seeking blood-thirsty revenge. She came across thousands of people, vampires, angels, demons, and all others... but she never got too close to any, nor did she ever stay in one place too long. Fear formed a barrier around her heart... she never knew when she'd become a target for the vampire-traitors... Leads on them were rare and if there was even a hint of a lead, Riho would stop at nothing to follow her catch; nothing would get in her way... and if something did, it didn't live long.
Of course, she continued to search, but she didn't always win her battles... often she was forced to run. She'd been raised in peace, and fighting had never been taught to her. Abandoning the normal, everyday weapons of the times, she equipped herself with two daggers. She hunted and practiced with them for nearly two hundred years before she became really any good at them.
Her instincts helped keep her alive, but her dagger skill originally was only flinging the damn things around wildly. Surprise attacks she handled easily and with grace...but head-on attacks were not her specialty. After two hundred years, they still weren't her strong suit... however, she did have much better control over them and could wield them effortlessly.
Though, like all weapons, daggers had their weaknesses. After learning that the hard way, Riho met a stranger by the name of Fiere... he had a vast knowledge and understanding of the vast elements that control this world. It took a while to convince him, but finally the man taught Riho how to control the element fire. All the other elements were hopeless to her, but with fire she showed promise. Fiere helped her master the element to its fullest... however, it had a back draw on her vampire-body. The fire was an element of the light...something that vampire did very poorly with. The fire element weakened her everytime she used it. Finally, she took a thousand year break from searching for her parents' killers to train body her mind, body, and element to all work together. At times she even lost her mastery of fire...but she worked on it to the extent that she eventually mastered it and her ability to withstand the drain on her body... Of course, there isn't such a thing as no drawbacks, after using her fire abilities to an extend, she becomes drained to the point that she must feed on about three, full humans' blood. Using it only a little and with no strain on her body, didn't effect her much, but battling with it put a damp on her body in the aftermath...
Now, though, she continues the hunt for her parents killer while at the same time, keeping the vampire society in order as she traveled.
