The Angkor Wat Temple is a place of healing the soul...and cursing it into hell. Beware of misguidance all around. The temple is here to test you, but what it is testing, only your deep inner soul knows. Is it your heart? Your love? Your sanity? Your body? Your mentality? The list of what this temple tests could go on a great while. Its beauty is known throughout the world, but it only makes it seem all the more cruel. Will you break or will you make it to the hidden shrine that only legend tells of?

[ENTER]
Rovan slowly walked up the steps, He had been walking for 2 days. He was hungry and parched. Eros was walking slowly behind, panting. It was night, The song of the cricket filled in the air. The moon held its head up high, a nice chance from the Hollow Mist, He could actually full see the sky now. He was regretful of leaving Maddy, but he had too. She seemed safe for now, and he would have died if he tried to take on Ulquiorra AND Nicholas. He had heard of a monk temple in the east that tested the toughest of warriors. So Rovan head east, and here he was...Angkor Wat Temple.
"This is it Eros...our new home." Rovan said in a weak voice.
Eros replied by giving him a saddened look. He knew Rovan was in pain, From time to time Rovan would become depressed, the effects of long age. Rovan wished death would visit him, For eternal rest, But somehow it never caught up to him and Rovan would continue doing his duty as a soldier of Arcadia.
Rovan took his time before knocking on the door. He was thinking about what he was giving up. He needed to become strong, learn some contemporary fighting techniques. He also needed a place to stay where no one would find him.
Eros replied in a sarcastic tone "Whenever you're ready."
Rovan lifted his hand about to knock where the door flew open and torches lit themselves, lighting up a grand entrance and a giant stair case. Inside was a dark silhouette.
"What have we gotten into" Eros stated.

Alyce yawned as she walked up the small stone path to the front door of the looming building. Where was she? She had previously left Moscovy, mostly because she wanted a bit more adventure. But where was this adventure leading her too? Like usual, her sense of direction wasn't exactly correct.
The beautiful moon above made Alyce feel uncomfortable. It's silvery sheen illuminated the land below it, and this made Alyce feel as though she was being watched. She would rather be in complete darkness if she had the chance. That way the Security couldn't find her... Not to metion dawn was on it's way. She had to find a place to hide. Sunlight was worse than moonlight.
Her head was bowed as she had been contemplating and walking at the same time, her coat and hat she had gathered before she left the caves covering her little secret. So she was slightly shocked to notice that she was already at the front door of the structure, which she then saw was a temple. Something else shocked her though.
Her body went rigid as a stranger's scent came to her nose. Her eyes widened as she saw the owner of it only a few feet infront of her. How could she be this stupid? Was he one of...? A slow warning growl rumbles from her lips.

"I know your here" Rovan stated. He turned around and saw a young lady in some rather odd clothing.
"Oh, a woman. My apologies." He knelled and put his fist over his heart and stood back up. Eros let down his guard. He had sensed a rather weak entity. She was quite tall for her age. She was scared, and lost.
"Are you...okay? Are you lost? This is no place for a young woman. Rovan was going to head in before the girl arrived. He now had no idea what to do. Take care of the girl or let her be? He obviously couldn't take care of her, But he also couldn't let her be alone, This was a dangerous place. He had to train for his battle with Ulquiorra and Nicholas.
"Please go home..." Rovan entered the building with Eros and approached the enigmatic figure. The doors slowly started closing. Alyce had a choice, enter or leave. Time was running out.

The man's voice made her growls grow in volume a little, but they ceased when she saw he meant no harm to her. She also noticed the small white fox at his side. He couldn't be Security. They hated animals.
Pondering on the stranger's words, she tilted her head to the side. Young lady? Then she remembered she only looked to be about fourteen or so. Laughing slightly, she opened her mouth. It snapped shut though, and she bit her tongue, literally. She was stupid enough to stumble onto a stranger without noticing it, but was she really going to tell him about herself that easily?
It was clear that his questions about her condition were out of politeness, because he didn't wait long before turning and telling her to leave. Fickle..., she thought. But a tiny shot of panic jumped through her as the door closed. Giving one quick glance around, she rushed through the door, taking the opportunity for a hiding place.
"I don't have a home,'' she muttered as the door slammed behind her. She then saw the interior of the temple. Great. Is this any less dangerous than staying outside?

Rovan noticed the young woman enter, He didn't mind much. His true purpose was to join the Temple as a student. He walk up to the figured, knelled, put his fist over his chest, and bowed his head. Eros walked around examining the area. He noticed that it was the man he was looking for.
"I have come to study under you Master Gjinn."
Rovan said in a solemn reply, he wasn't happy calling anyone master, it had reminded him of being a knight of Llyr. The young girl stood looking around, Rovan knew that she wasn't a normal girl, there was an odd aura around her. He would have to keep an eye on her.
Master Djinn replied in an uptight reply;
"No children, no pets!"
"Sorry Sir, But she isn't a child and he isn't a pet." Rovan replied.
"Damn right I'm not" Eros replied.
Rovan made up the part of the girl not being a child, he would hope that Gjinn thought that she was affected by the same magics that kept Rovan young. He didn't want the girl to roam the dangerous plains by herself. Eros had made a rather rude remark, Rovan didn't care, He knew Gjinn wasn't the most respectful of men, He was a rather dirty, disrespectful man.
"Heh, You're lying Rovan, But let's go on with it. This is a training center for traveling warriors. If you want to stay here you must fight, that goes you too pet. Your rooms are upstairs. Training begins early at dawn. You will be equipped with rooms, clothing, weapons and gear in return for work around the temple. I expect to see you up and early, any disrespect will result in punishment."
With that dialogue Gjinn disappeared upstairs. Rovan waited until he was out of earshot and turned around.
"You owe me young lady...I never caught your name. I am Rovan of Llyr. You are?"
Eros had become slightly irate at the old man but calmed down, he went to Rovan's foot and lied down.

The torches that lit the room relfected off of Alyce's curious eyes as she gazed around the room. She noticed the man kneel down to the ground and his words, but wasn't really listening; therefore, the loud statement of the owner of the temples made her jump nearly out of her skin.
Noticing that she was standing alone in a space to herself, she bent her knees slightly, wondering whether she was supposed to kneel like the man or bow or something...She settled for a simple crossed legs on the ground, the tip of her tail unknowingly sticking out from beneath her long coat, as the man defended herself and the talking fox. Wait...He talks!? And how did the stranger know that I'm not a kid? He just called me that before... Thoughts ran wild in her head.
The old man continued with his words, and they shocked Alyce further. She didn't intend on staying. She just needed somewhere to hide for the day, which, apparently, would have to be for during the next day, and then that worked for the day after that. What did she get herself into?
She stood as the man did and nodded when he spoke. So Rovan was his name. "Thank you," she said ernestly,"and nice to meet you Rovan. My name's Alyce." She bent down and slowly reached out a hand to the fox, scratching him behind the ears where she knew she liked to be scratched. "And who's this?" Her question wasn't directed towards Rovan, rather to the fox. She wanted to hear him speak again to make sure it wasn't just in her head...

Eros unwillingly liked the scratching, until he realized it was demeaning his character. He abruptly broke away and said.
"Hmpf...The name is Eros. A pleasure to meet you madam."
Rovan wasn't sure what going to happen to the child. At least he got her a place to sleep and eat. From the looks of it she didn't have any parents, She looked like she came here alone. But he didn't feel like thinking, he was tired and his thoughts seemed to jumping everywhere, He usually liked to keep his composure.
"I've gotten you a place to stay for now, I don't know what you will do in the coming week, But if you want to stay you will have to work. I am dearly sorry for ending the conversation but it is rather late. I must be getting to bed. Goodnight my lady." Rovan replied, bowing his head.
He headed upstairs, Eros waited awhile before going upstairs, The girl was rather odd, she didn't smell human, but had a rather wild scent. He noticed Rovan was heading upstairs and caught up to him, He would figure out who or what the girl was tomorrow.
When Rovan arrived up the stairs, It was rather quiet, No other adventurer was seen. Only a single maid appeared to show Rovan and Eros to their room. She was rather nice, a gentle and nimble woman. Rovan thanked her when she left.
Rovan felt awkward, all this happened rather quickly, Maybe he had rushed his judgment on joining the trainees at the Temple. Well, it didn't matter now, He was here and there's no escaping until his job is done. He had to become stronger if he wanted to take down Ulquiorra. Although now he was having seconds thoughts on why he even wanted to kill Ulquiorra. His thoughts went rampant, and he wanted to silence them with sleep.
The room was rather nice, a simple Oriental design, small and humble. Different from the royal designs of Arcadia and Llyr, and other countries of the West. He set aside a small pad for Eros, and undressed himself. He would no longer need his armor for now. He would train in a simple robe. It was black with white trimmings, standard issue to students. It felt different now, Rovan was faster and his moves were more graceful and flowed from strike to strike. He dressed in a sleeping gown and put out the lights. He was skipping dinner but he couldn't even stand, he just wanted to sleep for now.
Hopefully he would see some other people around the Temple and not feel so lonely, and with a silent "Good night" he fell asleep, but for him...it wasn't a good night.

A smile pulled the corners of Alyce's mouth as the fox ducked away. "A hello to you too, Eros." Again, Alyce nodded as she listened to Rovan. She felt a little panicked about this 'work' and wondered just what on earth she'd be doing. Surely it couldn't be anything like her old kind of work...
She stayed in the main room for a little while after Rovan and Eros left, but then decided to go upstairs and find a room. Being in an open space such as that was making her slightly nervous. She accended the stairs, following the mentioned maid to an empty room and sat on the bed for a while.
That didn't work. Being alone in an unfamiliar place where other being dwelled was making her paraniod. Slowly getting up and moving out into the hall, Alyce gently cracked the doors in the hallway, careful not to make a sound as she went, until she found Rovan's room.
Silently slipping in and closing the door, she shifted across the room, sitting on the floor next to the bed. Rovan and Eros were just new aqcuaintances, Alyce only knowing them for maybe a half hour now, but she knew they meant her no harm. Or at least she hoped they didn't.
Quickly placing a hand over her mouth to stiffle a yawn, she curled up on the ground. The wooden floors, despite their firmness, were more comfortable than cave floors. Within a minute Alyce was asleep.

The night ended and day began. Rovan woke quite early only to see the girl laying on the floor. He was shocked. What was he to do? He had to get to work before Gjinn noticed he was late, and he couldn't change with the girl in the room.
"Wake up" Rovan said, nudging the young woman.
"What are you doing in here?"
He was very confused, she was quite the eccentric person. Who enters someone's room in the middle of the night and sleeps on the floor? She was unresponsive and fast asleep.
He sighed, he couldn't leave with her still in his room, and he couldn't stay. Eros was fast asleep, in would be best not to wake him. So Rovan just carried the girl and placed her outside on the floor. He couldn't risk finding her room, He might wander in to someone getting dressed. She also needed to learn her lesson, as much as it bothered him to leave her in the hallway, He did. He went back to his room, changed into his training robes. Eros woke up slightly. They were going to be late for training. So they both preceded to class, per se. Rovan didn't tell Eros what had happened.
A bit later he realized what he did was quite idiotic. But he couldn't do anything about it now. He had arrived in the training hall, it was quite big, filled with young men and woman eager to learn. He was quite shocked to see everyone wearing weights and fighting with metal polls.
"Finally arrived young man?" Master Gjinn stated.
"Come over here and put on your weights."
Rovan knew this was going to be easy, he carried a 100 pound sword and 90 pounds of armor after all. But he didn't expect how heavy the wights actually were. 300 pounds! this was insane!
"If you want to be strong, you must be fast. It doesn't matter how big the sword is if you can't keep up with a slimsword. You are all familiar with the definition of speed, I will teach teach you how to redefine it." Gjinn stated.
Rovan staggered to walk with the weights, as did everyone else. He was used to maybe 200 pounds, But 300? he should have paid attention when people said he tested the toughest of warriors.

Alyce grumbled and rolled onto her other side when Rovan tried to wake her, but mostly continued to sleep. Nor did she wake when he moved her to the hall. It was hours later when one of the maids finally roused her, the smell of the food she was carrying stirring her mind. The audible growl her stomach made might have had part in breaking her sleep too.
Groggily yawning and standing, she rubbed her gritty eyes and tried to blink away the brightness of the sun shining through the windows of the temple. What time is it? Alyce thought as she stretched, curling her back as far as it would go backwards, not noticing where she woke up. Wasn't I supposed to-
Alyce's eyes flew wide as she realized she slept WAY past her wake-up call. Darting down the stairs, she paused and looked around. Where was Rovan? The small grunts were hard to hear over her own quick breathing, but she figured out that the strained sounds were coming from a room to her left.
"Are you lost?" The question made Alyce jump, but the maid who spoke only smiled.
"Er...training?" Alyce murmured, not really knowing what to say.
The maid nodded and pointed to the door where the weird sounds were coming from. "The training hall is right there. I do think you're a bit late though."
Letting out a sigh of aggravation at her own stupidity, Alyce quickly walked forward, reaching for the door. Her hand hovered above the handle. Was the owner of this temple going to be mad that she was late? Would she have to work even harder to pay for her laziness?
Gulping, her fingers curled around the handle as she pulled the door open.
[I'm sorry! ._. I was going to keep up with the RP when I was at my aunt's house this weekend, but she didn't tell me her internet connection was screwed up from a storm until I got there. v.v I didn't mean to make you wait that long...]

Alyce opened the door, and saw a group of students moaning and groaning under 300 pound weights. Rovan and Eros didn't notice her. Eros was under 30 pounds of weight. He thought THAT was heavy. Rovan was partnered with a young woman. Their assignment was to practice battle techniques under this massive weight.
She was quite beautiful, her name was Mal. She said she was from the plains of the Midlands. She and Rovan got along quite well. they repeatedly swung their weapons at each other, only to be blocked, or evaded They were the fastest in the group! the others would either get hit or fall down.
"I see you have far more experience than I thought you had." Rovan replied.

So they had weights. This shouldn't be too bad, right? Alyce quickly moved to grab a few weights from where the extras laid in a pile, but gulped as she felt how heavy they were. Strapping them on and keeping her eyes low to aviod Gjinn's glare, she took a few steps. These weren't half bad, actually. Kind of like her old experiments in a twisted sort of way.
Her extraordinary muscles pulled her legs forward, being a bit sluggish to her normal pace, but she didn't give the strangled sounds everyone else did. Sinew worked with bone, and gradually she could feel the sweet burn of a good work-out.
Passing Eros on her way to get one of the large sticks, she gave a small giggle and scratched him ontop of his head, knowing it would bug him slightly. After retrieving a poll Alyce continued over to where Rovan and a quite appealing woman were training together. She stood by silently and let them continue their jabs and swings at eachother until they paused for a break.
Fiddling the poll between her fingers, Alyce asked quietly, "Do you mind if I join in?"

Rovan paused to listen to the young girl. He was sweating and his arms shaking, He couldn't take on another opponent, but he couldn't say no to a child. He looked at the girl he was training with.
"If it's all right with you. Why not?"
"sure" She replied. "You're not much of a challenge anyways Rovan" She said with a slight grin.
"Ha, let's see about that then. " Rovan stated as he moved back and got into stance."
Not too far away Eros got a little irritated but got over it, He watched the little girl. He could sense her strength. But she was so young, how could she lift these weights?
[Short post, Sorry >.<]

{xD No worries. We all have brain farts at times...o.o...}
Alyce smiled as she listened to Rovan and Mal's small banter. She also saw the sweat trickling down the sides of Rovan's face. Was he already worn out?
Slightly rolling her hands around the poll, Alyce mimicked Rovan's stance. She wasn't very...experienced with this kind of combat. The labs had trained her kind with experiments that involved such weapons, but seeing that they worked better with their own, natural weapons, they discarded that option quickly.
Giving Mal a sort of "Gang up on him?" wink, Alyce jumped forward, the weights slightly hindering her movements, and copied a swing she had seen the woman use earlier on Rovan with her poll.
Already, she could feel the hair cling to her forhead with sweat where her hat held itself securely. The uncomfortable warmth of her coat also bothered her as she continued to move. But could she really take them off and show her ears and tail? Would the others think wrongly of it?
