A city enveloped in eternal night. The sun never rises, and the darkness never lifts. It's a city that's used to the night, a city that doesn't mind the dark, but rather welcomes it. It's often referred to as Festival City for its endless parties and festivals it holds. When one ends, the next begins. Their reasons are many and vast, with thousands of legends to go with them. It's the city of folklore and myth, forever happy and cheerful. Beware staying too long, though...they eat away at your money and they over-feed you. If you don't get out quickly... you might be there far too long...

Ooc: Not my best post, nor my proudest post. I just wanted to get started so...Eh
~Ic~ The sounds of the night life city echoed threw out the streets, the sound of cheering and music filled the air. As the people laughed and cheered for the festival night life, wonderful burst of lights and colors filled the air as fireworks went off in to the sky illuminating the night sky for a brief moment with wonderful lights. As the streets were packed by the crowd of people that hurried threw the streets to get to the next big thing, the alleys of the streets remained dark and lifeless. The lights of the main street were as bright as day, due to the buildings and the lighting outside from the parties. The city was polluted with lights as the place lit up as a Christmas tree. So polluted the stars in this never ending darkness could not be seen with in the cities limits. But the alleys in the city seemed to be unaffected by the hustle and busily of the party life. They remained dark and silent; as they were poorly lighten with old fashion light post. It was within this darkness the unspeakable evil of the cities life was taken place. As the party raged on threw the city’s streets, another one seemed to be taking placed with the darkness of the allies.
The sound of trash cans being tossed echoed threw the alley, and the sinister laugh of a man. “Mwhaha, where do you think your going?” A man came fallen down as he turned a corner within the alley, “Please Don’t!” The man screamed as he looked back at the one that laughed. He tried his best to get back on his feet, but the man seemed to be startled. He crawled and kicked trying to get away from the approaching person. “Don’t?” The man said with a sinister voiced said, “Why not? Humans must eat to survive, Animals kill to eat. So why can’t I kill you to fest upon?” The man crawled towards the corner cowering as the person slowly approached out the shadows, “Please!! No! I Don’t Want To Die!” The man screamed as the man walked out the shadows, but only to reveal that the man that laughed so sinisterly was no man. It was a creature from another world coming to fest upon the flesh of the mortals. The creature stood seven feet tall, it was brightly red and very slender. Its arms were longer then its body and dragged on the floor, extra skin hung from it’s under arm. It seemed to be attacked to the side of his chest and wrist, giving him the ability of flight possible. Its facial appearance was nothing to be proud of; his head was shaped like a crocodile s, his teeth large as they over lap each other and stuck out his mouth. His eyes resembled that of a hawk’s eye, they searched the area moving in different directions looking for it’s pray.
“It won’t take long human, I’ll just snap your neck and it will be over like that. Unless… you want me to slowly devour you alive?” The man shook his head out of fright as he watched the creature grow closer, “Please…nnnnoo!” As the monster lifted its arm in the air and clenched its talon like hand into a fist, the creature laughed insanely “Now die!” It shouted as it trusted its fist downward towards the man, “Noooooooooooo!” The man screamed as he saw it come towards him, he lifted his arms up in the air covering his face in attempts to protect himself from the hit. But as the seconds passed by the man didn’t feel anything. He slowly lowered his arms down to his side and saw that the creature stopped in its track. And was just staring off towards his right, the man slowly turned his head to see what the creature was looking at. As he gazed at what the creature was looking at, the man became relived. “Am..am I saved?”
There a cloaked man stood staring at the creature with an intense stare; his eyes seemed to burn threw the skull of the creature casing him to stop his attack. The man stood there speechless, as the other one started to walk towards the creature. The cloaked man looked at the man still on the floor and grinned, “What are you doing here?” The man looked around and pointed at himself “mm..mmee?” The cloaked man nodded “Aren’t you going to run now?” The man slowly stood up and started to walk away staring at the creature making sure it would not turn its attention to him.
The creature stood in silence still as it growled a bit as it stared at the man, “How dare you.” It spoke in a low tone as it stood up staring at the cloaked man, “Who do you think you are walking up into my dinner? I don’t like unexpected guest when I eat.” The cloaked man stood there in silence staring at him, his blue eyes seem to peer threw the creature and it seemed to irritate him as he could not stand still anymore. “Er…What is it? Why do you stare at me so?” the creature grumbled under its breath. “Is it that you are scared lifeless you can’t move anymore, or is it my beautiful face that has taken your breath away.” A small smirk crossed the man’s face as he chuckled, “Nah, I’m just trying to count how many branches you hit when you fall off the ugly tree.”
The creature shot up and let out large roar, “How dare you!” It screamed out as he charged the man. He stood there in silence with a grin on his face as the creature charged him, “I’ll kill you!” The creature cocked his arm back to send a punch to the man’s face, but as it was about to throw its punch the man seemed to disappear and sharp pain rushed threw the monster’s side. “Gahhh…Ah..h.hh.hhow?...Did….Youu” The monster fell face down on the floor slowly dying, the man seemed to be standing at the creatures feet with his left hand covered in the monsters blood. He stood in silence as he watched the creature curse him, “Dam You! Whoo are Youuu!” The man smiled as the bandages wrapped around his left arm started to move and fling the blood of the man’s arm without him moving. “It doesn’t really matter now does it, but if you need a name to tell the Devil who killed you. Tell him Jenzo sent you.” With that the creature passed away bursting in flames, Jenzo turned around and started to make his way to the main streets once again.[/size]

A man attired in black entered this city cloaked in night, much like he was, he breathed in the cool and striking air, this was interesting, a city in eternal night, you could always expect surprises at every corner, this man, Jimi, sighed and smiled inwardly at that, he wondered if there was anybody else here, he just felt the need to socialize.

Kylara was lost.
Despite her best intentions of staying close to her father and not wandering off, she found herself now in an altogether unsavory part of the city. She furiously suppressed her guilty conscience, thinking, It wasn't my fault, anyhow. There were.. um... lots of people. Yes, that's right. Big crowds swept me away. But in truth.. Ky had never been to a place like this, not even close. And Ky loved pretty things. Sparkly, silky, shiny- one and all, they drew her like a moth to flame, like a kid in a candy store. And if there was something this wild city lacked, it was not people selling pretty things. So, a pause at a jewelry store led to a sampling of lovely silks, to a perfume stand, to a display of small glittery fireworks. With childlike naivity and curiosity, she wandered in growing obliviousness to the fact that she was not where she was supposed to be.
When she finally realized that she was lost, she politely asked directions from a man to the inn where her father said they would be staying. With complete trust, Ky followed them to the letter. She remembered with faint puzzlement the leers the man had given her, then shrugged. He probably didn't like her dress. With one hand she unconsciously smoothed down the soft light-gold satin of her gown, and lightly fingered the sky blue ribbons up the side of the skirt. She shook her head and pulled her hand away, firmly admonishing herself. Stop that. This is not the time to be girly. With a sigh, she stopped walking, her feet beginning to ache in the light slippers of soft golden leather. They were not meant for long walks.
Kylara tilted her head slightly as she gazed around. It was not dark- nowhere in this city was- but it gave off a slightly sinister air. There seemed to her to be quite a few more dark alleys and deep shadows than where she had started out. A faint chill seemed to seep into her bones, though it was probably her imagination, and she drew her light blue cloak closer around her and shivered. For another thing, there were far less people partying here. Everyone seemed to be staring at the ground.. but when she turned quickly enough she caught the interested and slightly malicious glances of the men under their hoods. Beginning to feel nervous, she started walking again, this time faster than before.
Suddenly, she heard the screams of a man from very close by, and let out a little yelp, freezing in place. Glancing around, she noticed that no one else had seemed to pay any mind to the yell. This boded ill in her mind- she may be innocent and naive, but she was far from stupid. The unhuman roar that soon followed froze her in her tracks once more, just as she had taken another step. Her heart raced, and she began to realize the potential danger that a young, unaccompanied female was in around these parts. She bit her lip. If anyone attacked her.. there was nothing she could do. She couldn't fight worth spit- she healed, not killed. Unable to make up her mind as to what to do, she at first didn't notice the emergence of the man from one of those dank, somehow evil alleys a bit ahead of her. But at the sound of footsteps headed her way, she startled and looked up. It was another cloaked man. He didn't seem to notice her, but she stepped backwards anyway- right into the burly arms of the leering man from earlier. He tightened his grip painfully on her, and leaned forward to whisper in her ear. "You're a sweet little morsel, aren't you? Why don't you come with me.. You're so lovely, I could just- eat you right up." Her eyes widened as she twisted her head around to look at her captor. He grinned unpleasantly, showing a mouth full of fangs a dragon would envy.
Ky couldn't help it. She screamed.

Hearing the yell of a girl, Jimi's eye twitched, he glared and rushed off to the sound, as he did so, he saw a man advancing on a woman, he tapped his cane on the ground and narrowed his eyes coldly."How dare you"He said and took a step foreward, his cane sunk into the ground behind him."If you want to fight, fight a man, not a woman, you coward."
