The fortress is located in the center of a large circular platform raised around 40 feet above the ground. The platform is made of stone and has stone steps leading down to the grassy plain surrounding it that stretches out forever. The skies are blue and bright with white fluffy clouds. Around you floats bubbles, plenty of them for you to pop and catch and they bathe the platform in such a splash of colors it appears to be a prism in itself.

A blink. What was this disturbed place? Deciding to walk away while glancing at the field with distaste, he sighed. Shrugging his shoulders, he came to a conclusion of staying a while longer until he couldnt taste it anymore, and literally choking on a bubble.
He began to glare at the bubbles that desperatley asked for his attention, they got his attention alright.
Removing his guitar from his back, he swinged at the bubble, and watched it pop. "Vulgar." He hissed, commenting the dead bubble.

Without as much as the slightest sound, Willow alighted on the ground, her bare toes touching down on the stone, which was warm enough to not send a shiver running up her spine. Her small hands were clasped behind her back and there was a visible bounce in her step as she gracefully ambled down the stone steps towards the grass.
Willow was a social creature and didn't really like being alone, but the field was so beautiful and the sun was so bright that she just couldn't be bored or mopey. With one swift movement, she plopped herself down on the grass, smoothing her skirt over her thighs. Placing her hands on the grass behind her as supports, she let out a light-hearted sigh and glanced out at the field.
"Pretty~..."

Floyd continuously massacred the bubbles if to be described the best way. He swinged and swinged his sword, left and right with only his right arm. There wasn't much energy wasted on the body, but the swings he made towards the bubbles.
Suddenly, his guitar or to say, his weapon paused. The liquid from the bubbles dripped off the blade and onto the grass. It rested gently against the green, finally having the chance to stay still. But quickly as it had fallen onto the green, it fused together to form yet another bubble, swifting away far from the hazardous man that had ended and renewed its life in the weirdest and sadistic way.
Floyd had heard something. He began to walk, wanting to investigate the situation, and hoping it wasn't just some animal resting on the grass, but a character. The bubbles were starting to annoy him, as he had obviously stated in his actions against them.

Lightly humming an upbeat tone to the still, serene air around her, Willow folded her hands behind her head and slowly lowered herself back onto the grass. The soft, moist blades felt refreshing against the bare skin of her upper back, and a contented smile graced her lips as she let her eyes flutter shut.
Due to her heightened senses, she could hear someone or something else approaching. Uncharacteristically, however, she didn't really care. Instead of getting up and seeking out the other being, she simply remained on the grass, her translucent wings stretched out to her sides and her hair streaming around her head. She was comfortable, and she was not moving.
She just wanted to hum. And hum she did.

Floyd quickly placed his guitar behind his back, and then moving the strap that went across his chest, attempting to put it in a comfortable position. When that was found, he once again began to walk, towards the noise. But this noise had changed to a tone. A tone that, went perfectly side to side with the wind that breezed on the field.
By now, he was sure that the other character had heard him in some way or another. It would be foolish if the other hadn't in Floyd's opinion, considering that he had been walking against stones for some time. Sure, he could have been sneaky and had walked on the grass without his boots hitting against it so loudly compared to the stone.
That would have been an option, but he had ignored it. He wanted the other to know.

After a few more moments, Willow broke off her humming with a sigh of annoyance. She had tried to ignore the intruder, but that obviously wasn't working out so well for her. It was apparent that the being wanted to be acknowledged, and it wasn't like her to continue being antisocial for too long.
So, she sat up slowly, impatiently flicking her hair behind her shoulder with her slender fingers. Her somewhat aloof amber gaze came to rest on the intruder, and she couldn't help but grin a bit to herself. Who was she kidding? She always liked company. Company was...amusing.
"Don't you know that it's rude to sneak up on a lady when she's napping?" So, she wasn't technically napping; that really didn't matter. Yawning ever so slightly, she stretched her arms above her head and her wings out behind her.

He gracefully stepped against the stone, with a steady beat in his feet. His hands slipped into his pockets to keep a warm embrace on a small stone that had been found by his hazel eyes near a tree along the way towards the mysterious character.
A noise passed his ears. A voice.
Squinting his eyes infront of him, he saw what seemed like a human shaped butterfly. No, a fairy.
The fairy had spoken, it would be rude if he ignored her, right? "I didn't know you were resting." He lied.

Willow knew that the intruder was lying, but she really didn't care. She wasn't much of a stickler for honesty. In fact, she found that lies--or, at least, what the lies led up to--could be much more amusing than the truth at times. Oftentimes, the truth was simply too boring. For example, if he had truly not known that she had been resting, he would have been an unobservant fool, and she wasn't in the mood for unobservant fools.
Biting back another lazy yawn, Willow pulled herself up to her feet, letting her wings flap once or twice before folding comfortably behind her back. Her head canted to the side slightly, her strawberry-auburn hair falling across one of her eyes.
"Well, I would hope not. If you had known, then I would have to inquire as to your intentions. But I suppose that's not an issue now, ne?" Smiling once more, she chuckled lightly, her tone holding an amiably teasing quality.

When he had finished answering, his feet moved, walking towards the grass and off the stones he had been so comfortable on. The green brushed against his boots, and the ones under his boots crushed, and flattened. This was what he liked about grass. He could kill it, and no one could say anything about it. Afterall, it was just a plant.
He nodded slowly, answering the fairy.

Well, most people wouldn't say anything about him crushing the grass, but Willow wasn't "most people." In fact, she wasn't even a "person," in popular conception. She was, kind of, but she was a hybrid and considered herself as more of a butterfly than a human.
Her brow furrowing, Willow crossed her porcelain arms and glanced disdainfully down at the boy's boots. "You know, you really shouldn't wear boots on the grass. It's no fun unless you can feel the grass between your toes." In a sort of demonstration, she briefly wiggled her toes in the grass, reveling in how soft and crisp it was. Willow truly loved plants--truly.
"Also, when in the presence of another person, you should talk, you know." Reaching out a forefinger, she poked him swiftly in the shoulder, pouting ever so slightly. If he wasn't going to talk, then he wouldn't be amusing. "I get bored easily."

He looked down at his boot, with innocence in his eyes, almost as if showing the other that he had no intention in hurting the others feelings.
"Thank you, but I would prefer it if I kept my boots on." He said. He didn't like fun. He never thought of fun. He wouldn't had never even thought of taking off his shoes and revealing his feet to the ground, unless if she had mentioned it like how she had now.
His eyebrow arched at the girl. It wasn't common for people to feel offended because of his silence. He simply nodded in an awkward agreement, then speaking again. "I didn't mean to." He paused. "I hope you haven't become bored of me already."

Brow still furrowed slightly, Willow chewed lightly on her thumbnail, regarding the being in front of her with a curious and calculating expression. Every once in a while, she tilted her head to the side, shifting her long, thick hair as she did so. Then, for the furtherment of her observational "research," she put her wings into motion--leaving the ground for a split second only to land right behind him, examining the boy from both front and back.
With a slight shrug of her shoulders, she returned to his front to face him once more. "No, not yet. But you really do need to speak up more--and loosen up, for that matter." He didn't seem like the kind of person who liked to just let go and enjoy life. Willow couldn't imagine going through life without feeling free to do whatever she wanted to whenever she wanted to.
"Seriously, kid, would it kill ya to smile?" Her tone of voice was still teasing, but the question was anything but rhetorical.

'Not yet'? What did that mean? He thought to himself, and found it best to ignore it.
He stepped back a bit as the fairy examined her. He didn't exactly mind it, but it kind of made him feel claustrophobic. There was something odd with this girl in his opinion. Definitely.
After she had been satisfied with her 'view', she had said something to Floyd that hadn't appeared on his mind before; just like the bare feet thing. 'Smile'. Automatically, he felt uncomfortable with the word. He had a big vocabulary, but that just stunned him. He knew what it was, but the thought of it, and its description left him in a weird position. The worst thing was, the female expected him to do it.
"Smiling?" He asked, his eyes becoming a bit wider, "What would be the use of that?' He asked, in complete honesty.

Blowing out a sigh of slight frustration, Willow shook her head in disbelief at the boy's question. What was the use of smiling? Seriously? Did he know absolutely nothing about relating to other people? Obviously. Well, then, there was no choice but to remedy that as much as she possibly could. Not really for his sake, of course--she simply wanted to see what would happen if she did. Healthy curiosity had never led her astray.
"The point of smiling, kid, is to show your mood and personality." The butterfly girl fully recognized that they were both probably the same age, or around the same age, but she still enjoyed calling him "kid." He just...seemed like a "kid."
"It's hard to be personable without smiling. Or talking, for that matter, so it looks like you're zero for two right now." Quirking an auburn eyebrow, she folded her arms in front of her chest, still staring pointedly at the boy in front of her. "Do you know nothing about relating to other people?"
Not waiting for an answer, she stepped forward ever so slightly and brought her forefingers to the corners of his mouth too quickly for him to do much of anything about it. Pulling up, she forced his lips into the shape of a smile before withdrawing her hands--knowing full-well that he would probably go right back to frowning, or whatever it was that he did. Still, her point had to be made.
Grinning, she withdrew and clasped her hands behind her back. "See? Much better."
